“BOOTLEGGERS” INVADE CAPITOL. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, December 25. Talcing cognisance of tho charges that illicit sellers of liquor are openly plying their trade in the Senate and in the Houses of Representative office buildings, Senator Curtis (chairman of the Rules Committee) has ordered the capitol police to arrest all “bootleggers,” no matter who is backing them or to whom they are selling liquor. . . He declared that no amount of political influence would save the men who were caught violating tho Prohibition law in the capitol.—A and N.Z. Cable.
