LAUSANNE, December 22. Tlio Minorities Commission had an excited meeting without the slightest progress being made in regard to the exemption of Christian minorities from military service by payment of a tax. Rizanur Bey flatly refused to adopt such a scheme. It would, he said, be an infringement of Turkish sovereignty. Slight (progress was iruado with the other points, the Turks agreeing that the League nf Nations should bo responsible for dealing with any infraction regarding the minorities.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
