ATTRACTIONS OF CANTERBURY
Tho numerous and varied attractions of Christchurch, Canterbury, and Westland aro set out in this issue by tho Canterbury Progress League. This kind of community advertising is rather new to New Zealand, though common enough in some of fliq older countries. The idea behind it is in every way sound and commendable. Christchurch people realise that they possess attractions in their beautiful city, their fertile province, and their neighboring majestic mountains, and they desire to share these asects with tho good people of fids part of New Zealand. Certainly si brave list of attractions has been compiled, calculated to serve tho object of the movement, which is to induce holiday-makers to make Canterbury their Mecca during the present season. The Garden City of New Zealand never looks better than at this time of the year, and it is the centre of a district possessing a great variety of magnificent scenery.
