PARIS, November 27, Taking advantage of the scare caused hv recent explosions in French household coal, a Parisian named Thomas tried in frighten his mother-in-law out of his house by putting a bag of gunpowder on the kitchen range. The mother-in-law was eo terrified that she ran for the police, at the sight of whom Thomas broke down and confessed his .trick. Ha was arrested for being in unlawful possession of explosives.—A. and N.Z, Cable.
