LABOR DAY ASSOCIATION
THE ASSCAL PICNIC. A meeting of the Otago Labor Day Association was held in the Trades Hall, when there was a largo attendance of delegates. Tho various committees reported that everything was profressing favorably for the annual picnic, ho Secretary reported that train arrangements had been completed; that two special trains would bo available to convey the public to Out-ram, and that the return trains would stop at Green Island, Caversham, and Kensington, _ It was resolved to again hold a waltzing competition, for winch good prizes will bo offered. Tho committee reported having introduced several new items on the sports programme, and having secured a plentiful supply of toys for the children.
