PRINCESS THEATRE

CHILD MBIIO AND ED. LORD.

A noted child;, Little Lorna, and 1 the equally noted Australian, comedian, Ed. E. Ford, share the positions of honor on the now bill to bo presented at the Princess Theatre on Monday night. Lorna, still well this side of her teens, is said to ho an exquisite little artist—a born mimic, with the rare r-pico of drollery that gets its ring of authenticity into a portrait by just a tinge of the color of burlesque. She has proved, with her freshness, daintiness, and impish hum or-, a regular little magnet in vaudeville. Amongst several f remarkable impersonations credited to ‘ her are those depicting two “ stars ” well known here—Daisy Jerome and Jennie Hartley. These will be among the portraits given to Monday’s welcoming audience. Mr Ed. E. Ford is likewise an Australian, ‘but ho has been in England and- America for many years, and sanction of very - wide success in the big variety houses there is attached to Ids name. His face is hi. 4 fortune literally; at changes contour and expression ojs readily as the chameleon changes color. As one critic said; “Ho has aspects, a multitude of countenances, each more comic than the last. Some comedians make their comic points with, the hand, others with voice inflection, still others with play of limb; Mr Ford carries a bigger broadside of comedy in the loosing off of facial, contortions.” He is said to be a most entertaining fellow. Another newcomer on Monday will bs Hymen Lcnzer, a youthful but very clover violinist; and the 'programme will present also Count Fdlippirti, Hector Napier, Hirsto and Yenton, Carlton and Rosslyn, Delavalo and Vockler. The plans are today at Jacobs’s.
