IRISH CAMPAIGN ENDING.
LONDON, August 19,
The Irish Irregulars, being defeated in the field, are developing guerrilla tactics by forming flying columns composed of thirty or forty men. The Free Staters repulsed the rebels at Galbally, capturing large quantities of arms and ammunition. Tho Free Staters also occupied Macroom and Millstreet.—A, and N.Z. Cable.
LONDON, August 20.
The Irish Government's precautions last night frustrated a threatened rebel outbreak, but Mr Collins’s car was determinedly ambushed between Greystones and Dublin. A bomb was thrown, followed by a fusillade of bullets. The driver was wounded, but Mr Collins had left the car earlier.—Reuter.
