FORBUEY. The committee records with deep regret the loss by deatn of Mr Gabriel Hodges, late president. In accordance with the rules the following have been proposed for election :—President, Messrs Thos. Elliott and B. S. liwin* vice-president/ Messrs 11. Rut herford and J. M. Samson; committee— Messrs A. W. Brown, R. Conn, R. M. Greenslade, J. L. Hamilton, A. M.Hendy, John Mitchell, W. Quirk, T. T. Ritchie, J W. Thomson, and J. frengrove. As there are more than the required number for all positions, a ballot will be taken. OTAHUHU. The annual report of the Otahuhu Trotting Club states that, while the majority of °the clubs, racing and trotting, have suffered from largely decreased revenue from all sources, particularly the totalisaior, this club has had a slight increase of £6,900 on tho figures of last year, which were very much ahead of any previous vear. During the season, just concluded the club gave in stakes the sum of £13,060 for four days’ racing, an amount; well in excess of that required by the regulations.
