JOHNSTONE SONG RECITAL
Mr G. W. Johnstone has decided to Mvo a song recital in Burns Hall on Saturday next. Tho lino programme to be presented has been selected with great discrimination and catholicity of taste. A special feature will be the largo place occupecl by British composers. Vaughan Williams', Watford Davies, Villiers Stanford, Edward Elgar, Frank-Bridget -and Ernest, Austin are, all represented by songs which give a, really' excellent idea of -the work of those fino'song writers. Mr Johnstone will have -strong, sup : port in Miss Irene Horniblow, whose'expressive singing is so well, known,- and Miss Beatrice ..Spresbon, who sings with tine -understanding." The' ■accompanist is Miss Margaret Gawne. Programmes, containing words of all the songs,. may be had at Thfxßrir-tol, where the plan opens on Wednesday.
