Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, August 17 Tho Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve' entertained Sir James Allen at dinner. Sir James Allen, responding to a toast, referred to the Now Zealand sheep owners’ gift for the relief of the distressed dependents of tho men of the Navy and mercantile marine. He said that only £30,000 was as yet available for distribution. The sheep owners had realised that their profits were possible because the seas were kept open for them.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
