A special mission of seven days wax, commenced on Sunday last in tho_ St. Kilda Methodist Church, the Revs. Clarence Eaton and T- Roseveare (of Cambridge) being the preachers for the day. The congregations, singing, and exercise® were most encouraging, and the addresses inspiring. Miss Wheeler was the soloist. On Monday night the Rev. C. Eaton, spoke to a good gathering on ‘A Runaway .Slave,’ and most impressive lessons were forced home by the preacher. Mr R. Trobiloo rendered a solo.
Last evening the raissionor’s subject was ‘A Burning Question and How Christ Dealt With It.’ Hie utterances were thoughtful, logical, and full of appeal. Miss Macalister sang ‘ Hold Thou My Hand’ with good effect. The special services will be continued every night this week, the Rev. C. Eaton being the preacher.
