RAILWAY AGENTS
DUNEDIN REPORT DENIED. [From Our Parliamentary Reporter/ WELLINGTON, August 15. The Minister of Railways informed the House to-day that the appointments of commercial agents for the Railway Department in both islands have not been definitely fixed. Two gentlemen had been selected. One had consented to act. but the other had not had time to give his decision. He informed Mr Statham, who had raised the question, that he wished definitely to contradict the report appearing in the Dunedin ‘Star’ that the district, traffic manager at Dunedin was one of the nominees. As a matter of fact he had not been offered this position.
