(Received August 14, at 9.50 a.m.) The ‘ Sunday Times ’ announces that it has purchased certain rights in connection witlr Mr Lloyd George’s "war book, including the British and American book rights. It states that the book will yield Mr Lloyd George a sum which' will run into six figures, and says that tho Prime Minister desires to reply to ill-informed criticisms of his policy and actions without further delay. Ho originally intended to wait until ha retired from politics; but th® book may be written- in retirement after all, as Mr Lloyd George has had enough of complaints by the Conservatives that they are entitled to more Cabinet posts. If much more is heard of this they will lose Mr Lloyd George. These are reasons why ho would welcome relief from offic® just none—A. and N.Z. Cable.
