Cities of the ancient Philistines are being excavated by a prominent British arclufiologist in the belief that many mysteries of this very old race will come to light. The cities of Ascalon and Gaza are now being worked, and the tells, or artificially formed hills near these cities, will undoubtedly reveal information as to the race history of the peoples who inhabited this district before Moses. _ For 3.000 years nothing is known of the history of the Philistines. Enins of Greek and Roman buildings, constructed at a later date, will have to be unearthed before reaching the cities of the Philistines.
