AUSTRALIAN JOCKEY CLUB. The report to he presented to the annual meeting of tho Australian Jockey Club shows that the stakes distributed for the past year totalled £152,518, compared with £121,939 for tho previous year. _ The amount passed through the totalisators was £1,280,000, from which the State rev fiiue benefited to the extent of £113,547, and the Federal entertainments tax realised £13,647. AUCKLAND REDUCES STAKES. Tho Auckland Racing Club adopted a programme for 1922-23 providing for £70,550 in stakes, against £75,100 last year. The Great Northern Guineas has neon increased from £I,OOO to £1,500, the Auckland Cup reduced from £3,500 to £3,000, the Railway Handicap reduced from £2,000 to £1,400, the Great Northern Derby increased from £2,000 to £2,500, the Autumn Handicap reduced from £1,500 to £1,200, the Islington and Auckland Plates reduced from £I,OOO to £750, and the Great Northern Hurdles reduced from £2,500 to £2,000.
