RATIFIED BY BRITISH EMPIRE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, August 10. The British. Empire’s ratification of the Washington Treaties is completed. They have also been ratified in the dominion Parliaments, and signed by His Majesty. An endorsed copy is being despatched to Washington, where it will bo exchanged for a. copy of tho United States’s ratification.—Reuter. JAPAN’S POLICY. TOKIO, August 11. As soon as the Washington Treaties’ ratifications have been exchanged between Great Britain, tho United States, and Japan, tho last-named will begin strapping warships. An Admiralty official explains that Japan must await action by the other two Powers, but she will not be influenced by France’s or Italy 3 actions should they fail to ratify the Naval Treaty.—A. and N.Z.
