TASMAN OR ANZAC?
[Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, August 11, Mr Justice Chapman, in a letter to tho Press, strongly opposes the proposal to rename Tasman Sea Anzac Sea, He points out that tho former was deliberately chosen on his suggestion, approved by the Admiralty, and is now on tho charts of all nations. It follows the practice of commemorating the names of great discoverers, and there is tangible -reason for it, whereas Anzac is 'inappropriate inasmuch as -ft commemorate only somo of those who fought at Gallipoli. It does not, for instance, represent the French soldiers ■there, and as such would not recommend itself - to- them.
