‘THE MAID ’ AND ‘KATINKA'
RETURN SEASON OPENS TONIGHT. Returning for a brief season of throe nights, tho Royal Comics will revive for to-night only (at His Majesty’s Theatre) tho triumphal ‘ Maid of the Mountains,’ and on Monday and Tuesday the company will make its final appearance hero in tho delightful opera ‘Katinka,’ which, when it was last staged iu Dunedin, created something like a sensation, attracting such largo audiences that nightly, during its run, hundreds were unable to obtain admission. Tho cast for ‘ Katinka ’ is said to he much bettor than when it was originally staged here, so ‘ that playgoers who havo already enjoyed it may look forward to a greater treat on Monday and Tuesday. _ Miss Shiela Gale’s appearance as Katinka is being looked forward to eagerly by local .playgoers. Miss Miono Stewart, Mr W. S. Percy. Air Robert Chisholm, Air Leslie Holland, Air Edmund Sherras, Miss Haze! Stewart, Aliss Flossie Lusk, Air Harry Ratoliffe, Mr George Conyngham, Air John Forde, and Mr Harry Reeves complete one of the best casts which has yet appeared in any one opera in Dunedin. Tho unique and sensational dances executed by Aliss Jessie Sherwood and Air Thomas Alooro are features of the revival. The University A football team will bo present at tonight’s performance by invitation of the management.
