N.E. VALLEY TENNIS CLUB
The annual general meeting of the North-east Valley Tennis Club was held on Wednesday, Mr Bolton presiding over a largo attendance. The annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The spleidid achievements of Miss J. M’Laren in winning both the Southland Championship Ladies’ Singles and the, Otago Championship Ladies' Singles were highly eulogised. The resignation of Mr A. Williams as secretary, a position he had ably tilled during .the last two years, was received with regret. Mr W. G. Davies was elected to fiE the vacancy. The following office-boarera were elected General Committee, Mr Morrell and Mr Leggett; delegates to 0.L.T.A., Mr Bolton and Mr Leggett; Match Committee—Mr Williams, Mr Morrell, Miss L. Turner, and Miss Duthie. A number of new members wore proposed and accepted. The following recommendation from the General Committee was adopted That the annual subscriptions fee altered as under:—Men. £2 2s 6d (£1 7b 6d if paid by November 301; ladies, £1 10s {£l 5 S if paid by November 50). In addition fo the above subscription, all members admitted on and after July 1, 1922, pay an entrance fee of 7s 6d. The club's official opening will probably take place early in October.
