‘THE MAID’ AND ‘KATINKA ’
RETURN SEASON TO-MORROW. The J. C. Williamson Co. that made such an outstanding; success with ‘ The Maid of the Mountains ’ returns to His Majesty’s Theatre to-morrow for a return season of three nights. Tomorrow 1 The Maid of the Mountains ’ will be revived, and on Monday and Tuesday next the company will present two • special revivals of the romantic musical play ‘ Katinka,’ which a large number of playgoers declare to be the very best and most deliciously tuneful opera the stage has produced during the past twenty years. Miss Shiela Gale’s fine voice should be heard to advantage in the number ‘ Racketty Coo.’ Dainty and graceful Miouo Stewart will be given greater opportunities in 1 Katinka ’ thou she had in ‘ The Maid of the Mountains,’ and so will W. S. Percy. Mr Leslie Holland’s character sketch in ‘ Katinka ’ is well known here, and ho will be welcomed in this part again. Mr Chisholm will take the very important role of Boris and Mr Edmund Sherras will appear as Ivan. There are some lovely ballets in ‘ Katinka,’ and the specialty dances executed by Miss Jessie Sherwood, supported by Mr Thomas Moore, are features of the representation. The plans are at The Bristol Piano Company.
