YOUNG GIELS IN TROUBLE. Two young girls; just within the juvenile age limit were before Mr H. W. Bundle. S.M.. In the Juvenile Court this morning, charged with obtaining two overcoats from Ross and Gleudining by means of false pretences. Chief-detective Bishop said that the two girls wont to Ross and Gleudinings and tendered a forged order for two- coats, which they received. The trouble was that they were not under proper control, and were allowed to roam aoout the streets too much. Mr A. G. Neil, who appeared tor-one of tho girls, said that the girls were"t a dance, where they mot two girls, who, told them that their father was a traveller for a draper, and got things from Ross and Gleudining by mean? of signed orders. Tho Magistrate said that tho girls were evidently too fond of amusement, and were ready to do anything to obtain dress. He impressed upon tho father of one of them to keep his daughter under stricter control. He would treat the offence as one of false pretences ami admit both the girls to probation for three years, provided they kept away from the skating rink ami dances, unless with the written consent of the probation officer (Ensign Lonmbs), Restitution was ordered to be made.
