Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright.
LONDON, July 27.
An astonishing case of death through auto-suggestion was disclosed at a Shoreditch inquest. Alfred Manning, aged sixty-four, was found kneeling on the floor at the foot of a bed. Ids chin resting in a looped handkerchief, the upper part of which was fastened over the bedpost.
A doctor gave evidence that there was no appearance of strangulation, and there was nothing on the body to account for the midden death. Ho was of the opinion that the man rested 1 his chin on the handkerchief and thought ho was being hanged, and then died from heart failure.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
