EX-STUDENTS
COMMERCE FACULTY ASSOCIATION. A preliminary meeting under the auspices of the Combxerce Faculty Ex-Stu-dents’ Association was hold on Tuesday. There was a large attendance of exstudents of the commerce faculty, as well as other accountancy students, and the interest created by the keenness of tho discussions (over three-quarters of those present speaking on the various subjects) was ample evidence that an association of this kind will be greatly appreciated by accountants and business men generally. _ The election of office-bearers resulted in the following executive being appointed for the ensuing year President, Mr James Hogg; vice-presidents-—Messrs GW. Reid, J. M. Patterson, P. B. Foote, C. T. Lee, and Professor Pringle; secretary, Mr G- S. Kirby • committee —Messrs 8. P. Cameron, W. *R. Brown, W. Crawford Young, and J. M‘Keefry. The objects of the society are: (ai To keep ex-members of tho commerce faculty in touch with accountancy and commercial law studies and current questions affecting commerce; (b) to promote the art of speaking in public amongst commerce stu--n-irts; (r) to bring past and present students together for their mutual benefit; (d) to assist in training present students ■for tho competition at the O.U.S.A. Dei -‘W • Mi to discuss any matter that may affect the interests of the Bociory ai Accountants and Hie admitted members thereof.
