TIMARU WOOL SALE. SUBSTANTIAL ADVANCES. Tho final wool sale of the season was held at Timaru yesterday. Considering Hie lateness ol the season, a. very good selection wag offered. Competition was very keen, and prices showed a substantial advance on recent rates. Super merino is quoted about par, inferior at a considerable advance; half-bred, Jd to 2d; threc-yuarter-bred, J)d to l£d; ami i cross-bred from par to -|d advance. Following is the range of prices of fleece wools: Merino.—Super, 16|d to medium, 14Jd to 16jd; inferior, 12d to 14id. Fine Half-bred.—Super, 14£d to 15|d: medium, 12d to 14id; inferior, lOJjd to Hid. -.Medium Half-bred.—Super, 13d to 14jd; medium, lid to 12|d; inferior, Sd to ]od. Thrcc-quarter-bred,—Super, 9id to 11-j.d ; medium, 7|d to 9d ; inferior, ; 6jd to 7|d. Cross-bred. —Super, 6-id to 7|tl; medium, s£d to 6jd; inferior, 4jd to s]d. Pieces also sold well.
