OBITUARY
Miss Phillis Isabella. Wilkin, who died yesterday (says our Christchurch corresponded), was the daughter of tho late Mr J. T. W. Wilkin, who arrived in Lyttelton in March, 1851, by the ship Travancore, and was subsequently postmaster at Lyttelton. Miss Wilkin was born in 1855, foui 1 years after the arrival of her parents. She was a sister of the late Mr J. 0. Wilkin, who was manager of the ‘Lyttelton Times’ Company for many years. On tho death of her parents a, number of years ago, Miss Wilkin became postmistress at St. Albans., when tho office was first opened. She held the position for‘eleven years.
