ONE CASE ON DOMINION BASTS. [Pica United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, .May 3, Proposals for a new award were some time ago submitted to the employers by tire Now Zealand Drivers’ Federation. Tho employers at Dunedin afterwards cited the local union under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, and tho dispute there was set down for hearing before the Conciliation Council on May 9. It was suggested that tho Dunedin case should ho put ns tho basis of tho dominion ■settlement, and a proposal to this effect was made to the Drivers’ Federation by the employers. Tho local unions affiliated with the federation have been asked whether they are agreeable' to this course being followed, and in the meantime tho federation has asked that an adjournment of the Conciliation Council proceedings at Dunedin should bo arranged.
