The New Zealand Glass Works, Ltd., is a company now being founded to manufaclure glassware of every description. According to the prospectus there is an important market ready and waiting for the products, of the proposed company, which state me nt is borne out by official figures of dominion imports. In 1920 over £600,000 worth of glassware was imported into New' Zealand ; glass bottles (empty) alone amounted to over £125,000. A review of the operations of tho Australian Glass Manufacturers’ Company, Ltd., is also featured in the prospectus, it being contended that labor conditions, etc., of this country are similar to those of Australia, so that a New Zealand company has every chance of being as successful as the Australian company. The capital of the proposed New Zealand company is £150,000, divided into 150,000 shares of £1 each. Tho minimum subscription for going to allotment is 35.000 shores.
