ARCHERFIELD COLLEGE BAZAAR

No less than £165 7s was secured at a bazaar in Arclierllehl College on Saturday to assist Hie fund for the rcvonnlion of Nisbct Home, Anderson Bay. The bazaar was opened by the Rev. G. H. Balfour, who explained that the Nisbct Homo received its name on account of the pioneer work the late Dr Nisbet did as convener of the P.S.S.A. The object.of the home was to provide a place for tho very young children, a department tho need of which was greatly felt, and for which help was much desired. It may be added that later on it is hoped to establish a kindergarten in connection with it.

Tho details of the various stalls arc as follow:—Work stall (including donations to tke amount of £l6l, £lB 15s; cake and produce stall (First Church Women’s Club). £2-6 15s 6cl ; sweets stall (Knox Church Women’s Club), £l4- 16s; refreshments, £7 G.s 3d; flower stall, ‘£7 Os 3Jd; Standard VI. and Form 5, £ls Is Id; children's stall, £ls. Among the gifts was a spendid doll's bed, the purchaser of which relumed it to Mrs Nisbet ns a present to the home. It was immediately embellished with lovely bedelothing by other friends, and. the gift was perfected by a child, who made it the resting place 1 of a pretty doll that had just come into her possession.
