WASHINGTON, - March 22.
The debate on the Pacific ‘Treaty was continued to-day in tho Donate, the speeches being limited to one hour in order to reach a vote on Friday. Senator Walsii declared that ho would vote against the treaty, because it did not include all possible parties to a dispute; hence it was not 1 judicial in its alliance, which would result in the creation of other alliances to counteract it. It alienated friendly Powers like Russia and China, and extended American protection which other parlies were apt to need in return for protection which America should furnish herself. •Senator Pomorence expressed disappointment that further progress had not boon made towards forming an association of nations, which President Harding promised. Ho said ho would support the treaty.—A. and N.Z. Gable.
