In tho InvitaMnn Race at the Napier swimming carnival last night Miss Paulino Hoeft (Auckland) essayed to lower Miss Fanny Durack’s world’s record (76ssec) for ladies over 100 metres, Alisa Hoeft was successful in her attempt, reducing the time by 2sec.
