CHINESE MINISTER AT PARIS
ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION. Press ii:sociation--By Telegraph—Copyright, PARIS, March 21. An attempt was made to assassinate the Chinese Minister, Mr Tchenhoh, who, in company with Mr Tsan Gou, a. well-known Chinese engineer, was proceeding to a reception, A Chinaman fired four shots at tho Minister, who was uninjured; hut. Mr Tsan Gou was wounded,—A. and N.Z. Cable. AN AGGRIEVED STUDENT. PARIS, March 21. (Received March 22, at 11.40 p.m.) The man who attacked the Chinese Minister was a student. Ho fired four shots at tho motor car. Tho engineer who was with the Minister was wounded in tho head. Tho assailant immediately gave himself up to tho police, lie stated that ho fired because the Minister had showed little regard for Chinese residents in Paris.—Renter.
