The Corinthic left Wellington yesterday 'afternoon for Bluff to commence loading for London.

The Corinna is now expected to arrive at Dunedin on Saturday morning from Wellington, and is listed to sail the eamo dav for Nelson and New Plymouth via ports The Kini left Wellington last night for Pelorus Sound to load sheep.for Lyttelton. She is due at the Canterbury port on .Saturday, and is expected to sail tne same day for Dunedin. The vessel will load here on Monday for Napier and Gisborne. The Waitnmo is to leave Newcastle this week for Lyttelton and Timara.

The Hatinara is expected to leave Wellington about the end of this week_ to complete Homeward loading at Napier. She is to sail finally from Napier for London.

Advice has been received by £[ew Zealand Shipping Company to the effect that the Piako left St. John on March 15 for New York to load for New Zealand.

The steamer Tredenham is expected to leave New Orleans this month with cargo for New Zealand and Australia. 4 She will discharge at Auckland. Wellington, New Plymouth, Sydney, and Melbourne. • The auxiliary schooner Zita, which has been undergoing repairs during the past

three weeks at Lyttelton as a result of her collision with the Maori, is expected to sail to-day for Wellington, The E.M.B, Mnrama, t en route from Wellington to San left Papeete on the morning of March 16 for San Francisco. She is due at her destination on March 27. Tho steamer Tregantlo, _ 5,742 tons, is reported to have left Cardiff on February 12 and cleared Panama on March 2. She should reach Auckland at the beginning of next week. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Wahino arrived at Lyttelton at_ 7 a.m. to-day from. Wellington, and mails and passengers connected with the express for tho south. INCOMING SAN FRANCISCO MAIL. Tho R.M.S. Tahiti arrived at Papeete at 6 a.m, on Wednesday, March 15,_ from San Francisco, and sailed from the island port on Friday morning last for Rarotonga and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on Monday next. PORT ALBANY TO LOAD. Messrs J. W. Swift and Co., local agents for the C. and D. Line, adviso that the Port Albany has been fixed to load at Loudon early in May for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is scheduled to leave London on May 17. RIMUTAKA REPORTED. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rimntaka, which left Wellington on February 11 for Southampton, continued her voyage from Newport News on March 16. INCOMING VANCOUVER MAIL. The Union Company advises that the R.M.S. Niagara left Vancouver on March 17 for Auckland and Sydney via Honolulu and Suva. She is expected at Auckland on April 7. HAURAKI TO LOAD, The Union Company’s motor ship Haurald is reported as having left Glasgow on March 17 for Pacific Const ports via Panama. Tho vessel is due at San Francisco about the end of April, and is to ’ id at Vancouver during May for Australasian ports. THE MELBOURNE STEAMER. The Union Company’s interstate steamer Paloona is due at Wellington, to-day from Melbourne direct with mails, passengers, and general cargo. Sho is expected to leave Wellington to-morrow afternoon for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is now expected to arrive here on Sunday, and is listed to sail on Monday afternoon for Melbourne via Bluff.

KAITANGATA IN HEAVY WEATHER. SYDNEY, March 23. The Union Company’s steamer Kaitangata. en route from Newcastle to Bluff, damaged her rudder during a south-west pale when to the cast,ward of Gabo Island. The Canberra was proceeding to the scene, but the Kaitaugata sent a wireless message staling that the engineers were effecting repairs, and that there was no need for immediate assistance, CORINTIIIC’S RECORD VOYAGE. The voyage of the Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Corint.liic from Southampton to New Zealand was made in fine weather for the greater .part of the journey, and was enjoyable in every way. The vessel made a pond trip across the Atlantic, but was delayed at Panama for a day while repairs were carried out to her steering gear. Favored by fine weather, tbo ship made a record passage, and one day shortly after leaving Panama logged a record run of 550 miles for the twentyfour hours. This is a record for the company’s three ships, Atbenic, lonic, and the previous record (346 miles) was also held by the Corintbic. When approaching the New Zealand coast boisterous weather was encountered, with unfavorable winds, the only bad weather on the trip. VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL. STEAMER HUIA BUFFETED. liter an anxious and trying torn® through exceptionally heavy weather, the small steamer Hula arrived at New Plymouth yesterday, the captain having do* cided to run tor shelter. The vessel usually trades between Onehunga and Port Waikato. She left Port Waikato at 11 a.m on Monday in moderate weather, and reached Manukau Heads in the evening. Terrific seas on the bar prevented the Hula from crossing, and she was buffeted severely. Monday night was spent on the coast, and as there was no improvement in the weather on Tuesday the steamer returned to Waikato bar. There also it was too dangerous to attempt to cross. At midday Captain Jackson decided to run to New Plymouth, the vessel being very short of coal and provisions. Sails were jet to economise in coal, and the Taranaki •‘pors was reached at 5.30 a.m. yesterday, with the vessel’s bunkers practically bare and no food except a few biscuits. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
