FIRE BOARD
Tho monthly meeting of the Dunedin Firo Board was hold yesterday afternoon, Mr J. Wilson presiding.. Other members present were Messrs T. Chalmer, J. S. Hislop, and J. J. Clark. The Superintendent reportedly that tho North-east Valley fire alarm circuit was now in commission. The following are the locations of the alarms on tho above circuit;—Botanic Gardens, Valley road and Chambers street, Valley road and Millar street, Carr street and Franco street, Post Office, North-east Valley, Ross Home, Normanby tram terminus, Blade’s road and Carnegie street, Signal Hill and Black’s road, Evans street and; Cowley Bank, Opoho road and Arden street, Orbell and Falkirk streets (Dalmore). Mr T. Chalmer complimented tho brigade on tho excellent save by it on the occasion of tho fire in Maclaggan street. Tiio financial position as at March 14 showed 1 a credit of £3,119 13b.
