Victor Hugh Dickinson pleaded guilty to a charge of being; drunk while in charge of a horse.—iSub-mspoctor Eccles said defendant rode the horse uji .Princes street at a gallon, turned into the Octagon and then info King street. Robert William MTntyre, who was fined 10s, with tho alternative of fortyeight hours’ imprisonment, as a first offender tor drunkenness, was also charged with the theft of a Big Bon alarm clock valued at £l, tho property of Hayward Harry Smith, Wellington. —Accused pleaded not guilty, and on tho application of tho sub-inspector was remanded till next Monday, bail being fixed at £6O, with ono surety of a similar amount. MAJN'.rEN'ANCE. Robert Crerar, for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order in respect to bis wife, was sentenced to ono month’s imprisonment in Wellington prison, his release to bo obtained on payment of arrears amounting; to £4 10s.
