LONDON, March 21. Sir L. Worthington Evans (Secretary of State for War), speaking at tho Wandsworth Constitutional Club, said he hoped that the health of Mr Lloyd George would permit him to continue to load tho Coalition. If tho doctors said his retirement or a prolonged holiday was necessary, ho hoped that tho Coalition would continue. Perhaps tho Coalition would continue under a different leader. —A. and N.Z. Cable.

The Scottish Labor newspaper ‘Forward’ explains tho circumstances under which Mr Andrew Fisher’s Candida too was rejected by tho Labor Party at Kilmarnock. Mr Fisher declared himself a Socialist, but ho amazed the delegates by the answers which ho gave to questions. Ho was asked if £500.000 was paid to members, of tho Royal Family, would it not be bettor if it were expended on relief for the unemployed? Ho replied that tho Royalties wero worth every penny they got. Replying to other questions, ho disagreed with the advocates of disarmament, and said, ho thought tho Navy should bo strengthened. lie _ disapproved of tho nationalisation of mines.
