(Received March 22, at 8.20 a.m.) Sir Ernest Rutherford has been nominated for tho presidency of the British Association for 1922.—A. and N.Z. Cable. [Sir Ernest Rutherford, F.R.S., who is •a New Zealander, is Cavendish Professor of Experimental Physics and Director of tho Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge. He has had a most distinguished career, and has been honored by many British and American universities. In 1908 lie was awarded the Nobel Prize for chemistry. Ho has published several works on physical science. The British Association for the Advancement of Science was founded by a small body of men in 1831. One of its leading principles is to stimulate public interest in science.]
