She is due bore about March 50, and after discharge will load for East Coast ports and Auckland, The Corinna is duo hero on Friday from Wellington, and is listed to sail the same day for Nelson and New Plymouth via ports. Tho Kaituna is duo at Dunedin on Friday from Lyttelton. After the balance of her Australian cargo lias been discharged she will go to Greymouth to load timber for Melbourne. Tho Kaitangata left Newcastle ort Saturday last, coal laden, for Bluff, Picton, and Nelson, The Gale has been fixed to load at Dunedin on Monday next for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui The John is duo at this port on March 27 from Wellington to load for way ports and Wanganui. The Kini will load at Dunedin on Monday next for Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne.

Tho Kaiapoi is expected to leave Melbourne to-day for Adelaide, to complete loading for Whangarei, Auckland, and Wellington, Tho Calm is due hero on Monday next from Lyttelton to load for Napier and Gisborne. She will complete her loading at Timaru and Lyttelton,

A cablegram from London states that the C. and D. Ijtfcr Port Melbourne, en route from London to Melbourne, Hobart, and Sydney, passed tho Cape of Good Hope on March 20.

Tho Canadian Government steamer Canadian -Spinner, which left- Auckland on Monday evening for Wellington, Dunedin, and Bluff, returned to the northern ■port at 4 p.m. yesterday with a defect in her steering gear. The Shaw-Savill steamer Waiwcna, left Port Chalmers last evening for Bluff and Wellington to complete her loading for New York, Boston, and London, The Waiherno left Auckland yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton and Dunedin to discharge part cargo from Pacific Coast ports. She is duo here early next week, and will proceed later to Melbourne and Sydney to complete discharge. "The" Storm is due at Dunedin on Friday from Lyttelton to load for way ports and Wanganui. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company has received cable .advice that tho steamer Matakana loft Cardiff on the morning of the 17th inst., coal laden, for Wellington. The vessel is expected at the northern port on April 24.

The new steamer Tekoa. is expected to sail from the West Coast of tho United Kingdom on March 25 for Now Zealand ports. The Canadian Cruiser is now fixed to proceed from Auckland to Napier to complete loading for Now York, Boston, Halifax, and 'Montreal. She will sail finally from Napier about March 26. The barquontmo Laura has sailed from Newcastle with a cargo of coal for discharge at Dargavillc. She will afterwards go to Awanui to load a cargo of white pin-, for Sydney. Tho Now Zealand Shipping Company has been advised by cable that the Tasmania arrived at Melbourne on the 17th inst,, cargo laden, from New York for Australian ports. After discharge the vessel will corns to Now Zealand to load. THE FERRY SERVICE. Tho Maori arrived at Lyttelton at 7.30 a.m. to-day from Wellington, and mails and passengers connected with the express for the south. DORSET REPORTED. A wireless message received from tho captain of tho Federal Line steamer Dorset, on route from Liverpool, reports that she will arrive at Auckland on Sunday. Tho vessel should reach Dunedin about two weeks later. CARGO FROM NEW YORK. The Federal Lino advises that the steamer Otarama is expected to leave Now York about tho end of April with cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton,.Dunedin, Melbourne, and Adelaide. PORT PIRIE LEAVES LIVERPOOL. Tho C. and D, Line steamer Port Pirio, which loaded at Glasgow and Liverpool, cleared the latter port on March 15 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel is duo at Auckland about April 20, and should reach this port about tho end of April. WESTMORELAND REPORTED. The New Zealand Shipping Company is in receipt of cabled advice to the effect that the Westmoreland, which loft Wellington on February 24, arrived at Montevideo on March 15, and resumed her voyage the following day to London. TO LOAD FOR AMERICA. The local agents for tho Canadian Government Mercantile Marino advise that the Canadian Victor is due at Wellington on April 15 from Australia to load for New York, Boston, and Montreal. The Canadian Constructor has been fixed to load at Wellington and other New Zealand ports about the middle of May for New York, Boston, and Canadian ports. MISHAP TO TAIYUAN. Shortly before midnight on March 1 wireless stations received distress signals from the steamer Taiyuan, which reported tlrat she had struck tho Hares rock, Sho was steaming from Thursday Island to Sydney. The Nikko Maru was in the vicinity, and offered assistance, but the Taiyuan advised that she was not in danger, and was proceeding to Bowen. When sho reached that port there was Oft of water in the forepeak. . STARVING CREW RESCUED, A wireless message was received in Sydney on March 2, through Thursday Island, by Lane and Dawson, Ltd., from Captain Hocken, of tho steamer Bio Aral, stating that ho had picked up tho starving, shipwrecked crew of tho sailing vessel Upton. No particulars were given, but the captain’s message added that “tho distressed men were now going strong.” Tho steamer Rio Azul, which rescued the castaways, flailed from Newcastle on February 21, for Java ports, with 5,500 tons of coal. Sho is a monitor type of steamer, and is tho only ono of this class that has visited these waters. Tho vessel is now making her second trip to Java, on account of Lane and Dawson, Ltd. THE CITY OF HANKOW. Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Co. advise that the steamer City of Hankow is being furllior delayed in working cargo at Lyttelton owing to the congestion of shipping and tho shortage of waterside labor at that port. Tho vessel in consequence is not expected to reach Dunedin until Saturday at the earliest to discharge tho local portion of her cargo from Now York. BUTESHIRE TO LOAD. Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Co. advise that tho Federal steamer Buteshire 5b duo at Bluff on Saturday from Sydney to load for the United Kingdom. She is expected to reach Port Chalmers on April , 2 for further loading, and will snbsoI quently go to Wanganui and Wellington | to complete her cargo.

Tho Shaw, Sawill, and Albion Company announces the following movements of its steamers :

The Waimana left London on March 16 with passengers for Wellington, where she is due on April 24. The Waiwera is due at Wellington op tho 27th inst. from Bluff, and will sail on April I for Boston, New York, and London via Panama.

The Kia Ora, which is now completing her loading at Wellington, is fixed to sail from that port on Saturday next for London via Capo Horn. The Mahia, which left Cardiff on March 10 for Auckland, is due at her destination on April 17. Tho Atl ionic is due at Wellington, today from Gisborne to complete Homeward loading. The vessel is faxed to pail from Wellington' ot daybreak on tho 29th inst. for Southampton and London via Panama. Tho Talnui loft Balboa on March 12 for Now Zealand ports, an route from Southampton. She ia expected to roach Wellington on April 2. Tho Rarauga, at present on her way in ballast from London to Wellington, is expected to reach her destination on the 2Sth inst. She will load at Wellington, also at Napier, Russell, and Auckland, sailing finally from tho latter port on April 21 for London via Capo Horn, INTERCOLONIAL SERVICES. The Union Company announces tho following projected sailing's of steamers engaged in. the the intercolonial service : Manuka, leaves Wellington on March 23, tho Ulimaroa on March 21, and tho Manuka again on April 13 for Sydney. Tho Manuka will sail from Auckland on April 1, and tho Moeraki on April 6 for Sydney. CANADIAN GOVERNMENT LINE. Means H. L. Tapley and Co. have been appointed agents and stevedores at fho ports of Dunedin end Bluff for the Canadian Government Merchant Marine, Ltd. Tho next vessel of tho lino to visit Dunedin will bo tho Canadian Spinnor, which is expected early next week from New York and northern ports. Tho vessel will discharge part cargo and load for Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. VALMARIE TOTAL BOSS. The surveyor in charge of salvage-opera-tions on tho schooner Volmarie at Farewell Spit has telegraphed to the effect that the recent heavy’ seas experienced at the last spring tides have damaged tho vessel to such an extent that sho is practically a total loss. It will bo useless to carry out further salvage operations on the hull. The operations have now been abandoned, and tho salvage gear removed. Salvage operations will ibe continued on tho cargo. A tramway will bo erected on tho Spit, and tho timber cargo will then bo transported overland from tho schooner. VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL.
