Ohcepe : 84s to 92s per cwt; better market. Messrs Dsleety and Co v Ltd., report having received tho following cable from tho head office, dated London, March 17:—Butter: Good demand; market firmer; more demand for salted than unsaltedi- Danish, £9 4s; Australian—finest salted £7 4s, finest unsaJted £7 4s; Queensland, £7 2s; New Zealand salted, £7 10s. Cheese: better market; Now Zealand—-colored £4 12s, white £4 10s ; Australian—colored £4 10s, white £4 6s.
LONDON, WOOL MARKET. Messrs Mnrray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd., have received "the following cablegram from their London agenbg, dated 17th hist. :—Market continues strong, with good competition for all descriptions of wool. Compared with the opening rates of the present series, best descriptions of merinos advanced 5 per cent. : medium to good, 10 per cent. : oross-h>i,! greasy, medium ana coarse, advanced 5 per cent. ; cross-bred greasy, fine, market showa no change; for slipe cross-bred tho market shows a hardening tendency. PROPERTY SALE. Alex. Harris and Co. report having cold at auction to-day at Port Chalmers freehold, section 84, Port Chalmers, containing 1 rood, with dwelling thereon (house No. 7 Scotia (street), to a client for £7lO.
