AMUSEMENT TAX
[Per United Peess Association.] PALMERSTON N., March 21. Tho General Committee of tho Manawatu A. and P. Association discussed the Government's amusement tax, gate receipts, and members' subscriptions. _ It was decided to write to all associations up to Hawke's Bay and in Manawatu, and also the members of Parliament for &o respective districts, objecting to tho tax, and to arrange a joint deputation to the Primo Minister urging lain to •>Tempt associations from the operation of the tax. It was decided to write to tho Council of Agriculture soliciting its support.
