T ONDON March 11.—The bv-eleetion for the Cambridge seat, which was vacant Itamah Sir Ivic Geddes’s resignation resulted as follows :--hir Donah- Newton (Coalition Conservative), 10,b97: Mr Da. ton (Labor), 6,-54. The “Wee Free” candidate received 4,209 votes.—A. .and N.Z Cab.e. NEW YORK, Marcn 17— I Thirty thousand participated in the St. Patrick's Day parade at Washington. Senator France, attacking the 1 acilic •Treaty, alleged that very large sums, perhaps as high as two million dollars, ■were ‘being spent, to stir up sentiment for the ratification ot tho treaty. Senator France is given to sensational statements, and is not regarded seuously.—A, and N.Z. Cable.
