THE YEAR’S ACTIVITIES. The seventh annual report of the Executive Committee of the Otago Women’s Club states that tho total membership in September, 1920, was 585. Resignations during 1920 were thirty-three; memberships lapsed, eighteen ; deaths, two; transferred to affiliated clubs, eleven ; transferred from affiliated clubs, four; elections during the year, 108; total membership. September, 1921. 633. After full reference to the guests entertained during the year, who included Viscountess Jellicoe and the Hon. Lucy JclJicr.o and the Countess Van Stirnm, and to tho circle meetings of the year (arts andcrafts, gardening, literary, play' reading, and Public Service), the report continues : In July of this year tho executive wae offered the whole of the. top Hat in the present building at an annual rental of £365. After very careful consideration it was decided that the offer could not be considered- without raising the, annual subscription to £1 11s 6d. This matter was put before, a special general meeting on August 8. when members almost unanimously decided in favor of the proposal. It has been agreed to sub-let part of the space to Miss Mendelsohn, who will continue to cater for the club.
