CRICKET ASSOCIATION

A mooting of the executive of the Otago Cricket Association was hold last night, and was attended hy Messrs A. Martin (iu the chair), L. Joel!, A. W. Alloa, A. flalland, W. Rowland, G. A. Wycherley, I*. Binnoy, J. Robson, and Mackle. The Mow Zealand Cricket Council wrote staling that the North Otago Association had been admitted- to membership as a mi nor a ssoci a tie n. —Here i v cd, Tho Alexandra Cricket Club wrote stating tnat tho lormation of a sub-associa-tion in Central Otago had been suggested, and asking for guidance in the matter.— The Secretary reported having supplied tho necessary information. Tho following entries for the first grade competition were received and approved ; Albion, Carisbrook A, Carisbronk-llnivcr-sity, Dunedin, Grange, Mornington. Tho Coach Committee' submitted a report, which was discussed. The completion of the schedule of duties was. held over till next meeting.—lt was decided to make a levy of £2 on all junior affiliated chibs, the amount to go to the coach fund. —lt was further resolved that the coach (T. Carlton) be instructed to play with tho Albion Club for tho coming season. Tho balance-sheet of the New Zealand Cricket Council was discussed, and it was finally resol veil to write that body stating that, iu view of the substantial profit made on tho tour of the Australian team through the Dominion last season, ami of tho fact that the guarantees contributed by tho various associations more than covered tho expenses of the tour, the Otago Association was of the opinion that a refund of portion of these guarantees should be made.
