Mr W. J. Marshal! has given notice to move at the next meeting of the Taieri River Trust—“ That the resolution, passed by the trust at its meeting on the 3rd inst., to give effect to the suggestion to amend the Act so that drainage rates may bo made and levied on a graduated scale, be rescinded,” The motion referred to was carried on the casting vote of the chairman.
