(Received October 14, fit 10.50 a.m.) Demonstrations of the now Alula aeroplane wing, the invention of Ho Me, a Dutchman, which is designed to give great lilting power, have proved eoccessfnl. It was fitted to a, Martynsido machine with &. Hispano-Suiza engine of 200 horsepower. The machine ascended at angle, and readied an altitude of S.OOOIt in 72sec. Tho maximum spaed attained was 180 miles an hour. The wing is made entirely of mahogany. It has no struts, and in ehapo if. is similar to a seagullV. wing.—•' Tiiries. ’
