CLYDE NOTES
[From. Ouji Coiirkspok dent.j October 14. Mr J,'ones Unit, county ranger, met with a painful accident at FamEclengh yesterday. While ho was engaged in driving cattle his horse fell, resulting in the breaking of his left leg. On the horse lising Ids foot was injured. Tl/o limb stuck in the stirrup; fortunately tho hor.se remained still, and Mr Jfolfc with difficulty managed to get free. Central Otago is experiencing tho best season for many years. Many warm, steady rains have fallen, and there bus boon an entire absence of wind, which usually dries the country up. Pain has fallen for six days this month, with the result that the country is looking remarkably well. The orchards never looked better, and a record crop is promised.
