SAILED. —September 14. Corinna. s.s. (4.30 p.m,), 1,319 tons, Elders, for New Plymouth via ports. The P. and 0. Branch steamer Berrima left London for Australian ports on the 25th inst. In continuation of her voyage from Antwerp and London to Australian ports the White Star steamer Zealandic left Capo Town on August 29, and is duo at Melbourne on September 20. The Commonwealth Government steamer Bulla, which left Lovuka on August 27, is due at Colon on September 22. The Bulla is on route from Sydney to London and Hull via Fiji and Panama. The Union Company’s steamers Kowhai and Kaikorai, and the Blackball Company’s collier Ngahere, have paid off their crews at Wellington. The C. and D. Lino steamer Port Bowen is timed to leave Wellington tomorrow for London via Panama. The Shaw, Savill. and Albion Company’s steamer Pakeha left Gisborne on Saturday evening last for Sydney, South Africa, Hull, and London, Tho Port Lyttelton is at present putting out 800 tons of cargo at She will proceed in duo course to Napier to complete discharge and commence loading. She will lift further consignments at New Plymouth, Wanganui, and Wellington, and is to sail for London from Wellington during ths first week in Ocotben The Dorset is due at Wellington tomorrow from New Plymouth, and will sail on Sunday for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. She will sail finally from the latter port for London and West Coast of England ports. Tho Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Athenic is due at Wellington to-day from Gisborne to complete leading. The vessel is to leave Wellington at daybreak on September 22 for Southampton and London via Panama. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruapehu, which arrived at Auckland at 9.30 a.m. on Monday last from Southampton via Panama, in ballast, is to load at Auckland, Tokomarn Bay, Gisborne, and Wellington. She will sail finally from Wellington for Southampton and London on October 1.

Tho Kararnu is tn leave Wellington tomorrow right for Bluff. She will load there, and also at Dunedin. Onmam, and Tim,mi next week for Wellington. Tho "Rama, which arrived at Dunedin to-dav from Wellington, is to sail to-night for Wellington and New Plymouth. Tho Kama, which arrived at Lyttelton to-day from Auckland and Wellington, is expected to sail at noon to-morrow for Dunedin. She is due here on Saturday morning, and is listed tn sail on Monday for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The Ivaitangata left Lyttelton last evening for Auckland direct with a. full shipment of general cargo and produce. The Kamo'arrived at Groymonth at 9 last night from Westport. She iscxnected to sn.il to-night for Bluff and Dunedin. Tho Wingatui left Timaru at 6 p.m. yesterday direct for Auckland. The Paloona was expected to leave Bluff at noon to-dnv For Melbourne. She wall bo despatched from tho Victorian port about September 23 for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. The Union Company’s froiehter Waiherno left San Francisco on Monday for Los Angeles to complete her loading for New Zealand and Australian ports.

The Walkawa left Auckland last evening for Wellington to discharge (part cargo from Pacific Coast ports. She will afterwards visit Lyttelton, New Plymouth, Melbourne, and Sydney to complete discharge. r [ T ho Kurow left Newcastle at 5 a.m. yesterday, coal laden, for Wellington and New Plymouth.

The Koramii is expected to leave Napier to-day for Dunedin. She will load here and at Oamaru, Timaru, ,and Lyttelton next week for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. The Breeze is duo at Dunedin to-morrow from Lyttelton to load for way ports and Wanganui. The mail steamer Tahiti is duo at Wellington on Saturday morning from San Francisco via ports. She is scheduled to sail on Monday afternoon for Sydney. A cablegram from London states that the steamer Wachtfels, which left Melbourne on Juno 13 for the United Kingdom with a cargo of wheat, passed Beaohy Head on September 13. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Maori arrived at Lyttelton at 7 a.m. to-day from Wellington., and mails and passengers connected with the first express for the south.

1 MANUKA’S CREW PAID OFF. A telegram from Wellington states that the Union Company’s passenger steamer Manuka, which arrived at the northern port, yesterday morning from Sydney, is to lay up there until October 6. Sixty Now Zealand members of the crow wore paid off today, and about forty Australians will he paid off on Monday. The latter will bo conveyed to Sydney by tho Tahiti. JPJ, * CITY OF SYDNEY LEFT NEW YORK. Tho Federal Lino has received cable advice that the City of Sydney left Now York on August 31 and Newport News on September 4, cargo laden, for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney. The vessel is duo at Auckland about October 3, and at Dunedin about October 15. CANADIAN MARINER COMING. Advice has been received by tho Wellington agents for tho Canadian Government Line which states that tho Canadian Mariner left Panama, on September 3 for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, and Bluff, to discharge cargo from Montreal and New York and to load for those two ports. TJio vessel is due at Wellington on October 5. She Is to he followed by tho Canadian Conqueror, arriving in New Zealand early in October. STEAMER BROXTON TO BE SOLD. The American steamer Broxton, 3,585 tons register, and the largest wooden steamer in commission, is to be submitted to public, auction at Christchurch on Monday, September 26, together with 300 tons of Newcastle coal. The Broxtoii*, in command of Captain Swanson, arrived at Lyttelton on July 21 with a cargo of coni from Newcastle to the agency of the Blackball Coal Company. Some weeks age tho vessel was placed under arrest by Mr A. 11. Holmes, Registrar and Marshal of the Admiralty Court, in connection with a small debt incurred with Messrs Sleigh and Co., a Melbourne firm. With the exception of 300 tons, her coal cargo was-discharged, and ballast had been already taken in for a return to Newcastle when tho arrest was effected. The Broxton previously made several trips to Port Chalmers and one to Lyttelton from Newcastle. On the last occasion she was delayed at Newcastle for seventy-six days awaiting a- cargo, and in tho meantime, her articles having expired, the crew was paid off at Newcastle and a new crew signed on, By her long detention at Lyttelton the vessel has incurred considerable expense in the payment and upkeep of her crew, as well as harbor dues and other charges.

END OF THE STEAMER AORANGT. News has reached Sydney that the steamer Aorangi, formerly a. New Zealand trader, which was sunk at Holm Sound, in the Orkney Islands, for war purposes, has been refloated and is doing duty as a hulk.

The Aornngi was a steamer of 4.268 tons gross and 2.782 tons net register, and was built in 1883 by Messrs J. Elder and Co. at Glasgow for the New Zealand Shipping Company, Ltd. She ran for some years in the mail and passenger service between London and New Zealand ports, and was a very popular ship. Afterwards she ran ■with the Miowera (afterwards the Maitni, wrecked at Rarotonga early in 1915) in the Vancouver service to Australia, under tho flag of tho Cn.nadinn-Anstralinn Line. Tho Aorangi and tho Maitai wore subsequently purchased by tbo Union Steam Ship Company, and inaugurated tho present service between San Francisco and Now Zealand ports, in which they continued until displaced by tho Tahiti and Mara.ma. Tho Aorangi waft then laid up in Sydney, and shortly after the war started slie was requisitioned by the Admiralty authorities for service as a store ship.
