ERRING SOLICITOR
[Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, September 15, | Following action by the district 'Law Society, Francis J. Tipping, solicitor and barrister, was called upon at the Supremo Court to show cause why lie should not bo shuck off the roll of barristers and solicitors.. The affidavits stated that Air Meredith had been instructed by the Commission©!} _of Crown Lands 'to recover £l,lOO paid him on behalf of tho Government for loans to ccx-tnin soldiers, also to recover various mortgages and documents representing securities for advances previously made through Tipping. Tipping had handed over tho £l,lOO, less £9 10s, also various documents. Tipping had not registered any of the deeds, and £2OB was duo for stamp duties and fines. Tipping admitted that the allegations were correct. His counsel said the shortage >as email; his client asked for tho mercy of the court. Ho asked for time to see Tipping again. Mr Justice Adams adjourned the matter for one week.
