ST. LEON’S CIRCUS
A circus without acrobats would be no circus at all—the clown might as well bo left out. The St. Leon’s people are introducing no fewer than twenty new acts this season, and the St. Leon acrobats are guaranteed to turn on something decidedly original. That will be interesting news to the man who says there ,is nothing new in acrobatics. One of the stunts they have been practising hard is sure to bring the house to its feet. From a springboard they leave one by one, revolving in the air with the speed of an airplane propeller, and build up three high on one another’s shoulders. This act has been described as “sensation in a hurry.” In fact, this terra might be applied to this whole torn. Of course, the clown and the dummy see to it that tho act is not without its amusing side, and by all means see them on September 15, when they open for a short season on a large vacant section in Princes street opposite the Oval. There will bo a special matinee for children next Saturday at 2.30.
