' ON WITH THE DANCE."
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Tho illuminating report of ■ the ideas of various sections of our community are interesting and calculated to make one think. Tho Salvation Army comes forward with an emphatic endorsement of Mr Booth’s ideas, the Anglican Church Hikes tho opposite view, the president of the Y.M.O.A. sits on the fence in between, with tho statement that dancing is all right, but tlio Y.M.C.A. cannot exercise- the necessary oversight. If the Y.M.C.A. believes dancing to be right under the proper auspices, well surely a Christian association would bo the most correct place for dancing. The trouble is, sir, that the Y.M.C.A. docs" not approve of dancing, and it is afraid_ to say so. It takes the same attitude with tho Prohibition question.—l am, etc., In Christian Service. August 4.
