An amusing comedy, ‘Tito Girl From Jamaica,’ will be produced for tho first time at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of next week. Apart'from the play itself, which_ will bo mounted and dressed in a lavish style, there is the generous object which must not he overlooked. Tho finales of each of the three acts are very good; that of tho first not, when a regiment of soldiers inarches past tho windmv, being exceptionally smart. In order to p,ive full effect to this episode tho Kaikorai Hand has given its services, ami this enhances the whole climax. The punting accident, tho summer house scene, the illuminated gardens, etc., aro all incidents which go to make up what is safely predicted to bo tho best laughproducer offered to Dunedin theatregoers.
“The girl comes from Jamaica, and so does ginger, and there is tons of in in the play.” The public are requested to noto that this comedy will take place in His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of next week, and not on Wednesday, as previously advertised.
